Her husband, Lord Archer, is serving a four-year jail sentence for perjury. 30/6/03: Archer, wife of jailed peer Jeffrey Archer was seeking a permanent High Court injunction banning her former secretary Williams from disclosing confidential information. A temporary order is already in force. Miss Williams worked for Lady Archer for 13 years before leaving last year. She looked after Lady Archer's personal affairs, including relations with the press, and worked from the couple's home in Grantchester, Cambridge. The case involves allegations by a former lover of Miss Williams that the secretary had downloaded information about Lady Archer from her computer and had taken it home to use as her "pension fund". The existing injunction is similar to the one issued to Tony and Cherie Blair against their former nanny. It forbids Miss Williams from disclosing any confidential information relating to or touching upon or concerning Lady Archer or any member of her family.
