The President of the district union of the Israelite religious communities in Bavaria, Heinz Meier, pointed out that these three memorial places symbolize the in inflexible resoluteness of all people of good will to be responsible for the ideals of humanity and the peace on the earth of God. Beside him spoke the ambassador of the State Israel in the Federal republic of Germany, Asher Ben Nathan, and the Bavarian Minister Dr. Hundhammer. The memorial place was designed by the Frankfurt architect Hermann Guttmann. The building has a parabolic shape and is nine metres long. The outward and inside walls form a uniform carve-stone-masonry from basalt-lava.
