01.12.2016, Berlin, Berlin, Germany - The building of Siemens AG Berlin, the sculpture The Wings in front of the Siemens Headquarter in Munich in May 2016 is part of a four-sculpture installation by American architect Daniel Libeskind, which was exhibited for the first time at Expo 2015 in Milan. Two more Wing sculptures are being built according to a concept of the Siemens Arts Program in Berlin and Erlangen. The result is a symbolized Innovation Bridge between the Headquarter (Munich), the founding place (Berlin), the largest location (Erlangen) and the world. The ten-meter high and 15-ton sculpture is made of matt-finished aluminum. The LEDs integrated in their surface make a graphic animation possible. With lighting from thousands of LEDs, the sculpture in the form of a wing (The Wings) also playfully addresses the subject of digitization, ingenuity for life. EBS161120D991CAROEX.JPG
