This is the home of Robert Graves (Robert von Ranke Graves) a Poet and Author, he was an English poet, scholar/translator/writer of antiquity specializing in Classical Greece and Rome, and novelist. During his long life he produced more than 140 works. His most popular works were made into film including I, Claudius, The Shout, War Goddess. Born: July 24, 1895, Wimbledon, London Died: December 7, 1985, Deià, Spain Spouse: Beryl Graves (m. 1950–1985), Nancy Nicholson (m. 1918–1949) Children: Lucia Graves, Tomás Graves, Catherine Graves Most of his most literary works were written from his home in the village of Deià, on the Island of Mallorca, Spain. The Spanish government has made his home a museum that pays hommage to his work.
