House No. 5 right of the former tallest flagpole of the world. 'House No. 5' - As of 15.02.2012, the ground was demolished from the 9th floor. Since autumn 2011 electricity, water and gas was regularly shut down to speed up the 'voluntary' decision of the inhabitants to leave. The house is the last one that needs to be demolished to give way to the Crystal Palace. It was built in 1988. The presented family lives there since then on ownership basis, as almost everybody in Baku. During the year 2011 several unacceptable proposals were made, where the family should move or offered buyout prices that were far below a reasonable value. The house is located right on the boulevard, next to the highest flag in the world until 2010 - a very prestige-rich place, which the government has been planning to extend for a long time before the ESC (!). The family has given consent to let the pictures reprinted in a proper context without names. English-speaking members can be contacted via emai, 11.08.2011
