Press Release: 'Quadrophenia' cast reunite for 40th anniversary and help support young people with cancer. Teenage Cancer Trust proudly celebrated the 40th anniversary of iconic movie 'Quadrophenia' tonight (Tuesday 29 January) with the films’ original cast to help raise funds and support young people with cancer. The start-studded event, hosted at Michelin-starred restaurant, Locanda Locatelli, reunited Sting, Phil Daniels, Phil Davis, Leslie Ash, Mark Wingett and Trevor Laird, plus Director Franc Roddam from the 1979 cult classic British film which was loosely based on The Who's 1973 rock opera of the same name. The Who have been pivotal in raising millions of pounds for Teenage Cancer Trust over the years and played the first ever Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall show back in 2000 as ‘The Who and Friends’. These shows have grown into an iconic annual week-long series of gigs and are the charity’s flagship event. Legendary frontman of The Who Roger Daltrey CBE is Honorary Patron of Teenage Cancer Trust, the only UK charity providing specialist nursing and emotional support to young people with cancer. Guests were treated to a rendition of The Who’s ‘Real Me’ by Joseph Doran, 21 a musician from Harrow, who was treated for Hodgkin lymphoma on the Teenage Cancer Trust unit at UCLH. Stepping out to support the Teenage Cancer Trust event, Phil Daniels, who plays Jimmy Cooper in Quadrophenia said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to attend An Evening with Quadrophenia, the film was such a big part of my life. and for it to be celebrated 40 years on and raise money for such an incredible charity makes the anniversary even more special. “I got the opportunity to hear first-hand from an inspirational young man called Joseph who Teenage Cancer Trust supported, it really highlighted the important work the charity do to support young people with cancer and their families up and down
