From July 13 to August 12, an art exhibition of Microsoft's artificial intelligence (AI) robot Xiao Bing opens in the arts museum of China's Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing. The exhibition "Alternative Worlds, " which lasts till August 12, is the first AI art exhibition in China, with hundreds of paintings of different styles on display. Xiao Bing, the AI robot, has spent 22 months studying the art works of 236 famous human painters in the past 400 years of art history. It independently completed those original paintings with inspiration out of human paintings and other sources. The paintings by the AI robot features an originality shown through the composition, use of color, art expression and all the details.
