Rian is another example of thousands of animals given as presents each year that are abandoned. * Although so young, the puppy has already become an unwanted gift and been thrown out of his home, but fortunately into the welcoming arms of the RSPCA. The mongrel was given to a woman in Wargrave, Berkshire, as a present by her grand-daughter who forgot that sometimes cats and dogs in the same house don't always mix. After terrorising the household cat for its short period in the home, the woman then contacted the RSPCA for them to collect yet another unwanted present. Rian has now been given temporary accommodation with the RSPCA's Millbrook Animal Centre in Cobham, Surrey, until an adoptive family can be found.
