The Celebration of ‘Jharkhand Foundation Day’ was inaugurated, at 1.25 p.m., on 8th November 2017, at Gandhi Maidan, Chaibasa, Jharkhand, India. The Jharkhand education minister, Dr.Neera Yadav inaugurated the function by Deep-Pragatya (lighting the lamp). On This Occasion, The District Administration, West Singhbhum , Chaibasa had organized various cultural events of folk culture of Jharkhand. The folk artists from Jharkhand performed amazing dances to the tune of folk music, in their traditional costume. The school children participated in marching band with their uniform. The Deputy Commissioner of West Singhbhum, Sri Arava Rajkamal, IAS, the Superintendent of Police, West Singhbhum, Sri Anish Gupta , other district officers , police, school children and residence of Chaibasa were present on this occasion. The members of Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, Dashrath Gagrai (Saraikela kharsawan), Gitta Koda (Jagannathpur), Niral purty (Majagaon), Deepak Birua ( Chaibasa) Shashibhushan Samad (Chakradharpur) and J.B. Tubid (Former Home Secretary ) member of Tribal Advisory Committee, state BJP chief Laxman Gilua , Nila Nag (President, Chaibasa Municipal corporation) and other dignitaries were invited by the District Administration, west Singhbhum , Chaibasa. Various N.G.O, self help group, agricultural related trader and public sector bank also participated in this function. The Jharkhand Foundation Day has been celebrated every year on 15th November since 2000 in Jharkhand. The JHARKHAND, the 28th State of the country, was formed on 15th November2000.
