Altre informazioni:
The Salton Sea in Southern California is a Sea surrounded by desert and is in danger of evaporating, which would devastate the environment and leave no choice for the people living here to on. This would allow the sea bed to be exposed, exposing with it agricultural nasties such as pesticides as well as selenium to become exposed in an area that is known to be really windy. The beauty of this highly saline lake is not well known, as there are a great amount of people who even live not too far, that have never heard of it. It was very popular during the 40's through the early seventies amongst Hollywood stars and celebrities and those of the high society, because of its proximity to Los Angeles. Its natural beauty, its bouyant waters, the natural habitat were all reasons why so many people chose to come here. Near this spot is an old naval base, which the Navy used to test-run the Enola Gay before its run across the Pacific to Japan.
