A Clockwork golf course and a putting green were constructed along lower marine parade. The boating lake and model yacht ponds were built and a paddling pool constructed to the south of these. These facilities where open from 1924.o provide safe bathing the Harwich Borough Council decided to have a bathing pool built.On the 5th July 1924 the mayor Mrs. Lucy Hill officially opened the new 210 feet long 75 feet wide facility, the pool was 2 feet 6 inches deep at the shallow end and 6 feet at the other. The pool was closed at the end of the 1963 season for major refurbishment costing £60, 000 the pool continued seasonal use until the end of 1983 season when the facility was demolished and a new indoor, heated pool was opened in November 1984.
