The Secret Garden Party is an independent music festival which takes place every year in an estate near Cambridge, England. Occupying 100 acres (0.40 km2) in the grounds of a Georgian farm house, the location has its own lake, river and landscaped gardens. The festival was founded in 2004 and has dramatically increased in popularity and size since. In 2007 The Secret Garden Party was named best British music festival by Radio 1. Unlike many music festivals it has no corporate sponsors and has decided to remain small with a capacity of 6500. The festival is renowned for its friendly atmosphere and wacky layout. Any type of creativeness is greatly encouraged.
