Jane Tomlinson, 38, from Rothwell in Leeds, who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, prepares to take part in the Bupa Great North Run in Newcastle. Tomlinson, a 38-year-old mother of three from Rothwell, Leeds has suffered a serious setback in her latest challenge. During the three-week cycle ride, planned for March, Jane will have to undergo two chemotherapy sessions while completing the journey. The treatment will not cure her but it greatly improves her standard of living and could cause her a serious decline in her health if postponed for three weeks. Mrs Tomlinson has already taken part in the London Marathon, the Triathalon and the Great North Run whilst suffering from terminal cancer. * 28/03/2003: Charity fundraiser and terminal cancer sufferer Jane Tomlinson who is Friday March 28, 2003, getting back on her bike for the next leg of her 1, 060-mile ride from John O`Groats to Lands End after taking a day out for chemotherapy.
