Altre informazioni:
The Millau Viaduct in southern France. Built between 2001 and 2004, it is one of the tallest bridges in the world (its biggest pylon rises 343 meters, or 1125 feet). It carries traffic across the Tarn River on the A75 autoroute, which connects Montpellier and Paris. It was built by an international consortium, led by the French firm Eiffage. Its architect was the Briton Sir Norman Foster. The pylons were supplied by a Polish company, PAECH Construction Enterprise. It is in the Aveyron department and the Midi-Pyrénées region. Bridge heights are variously measured. The web site highestbridges.com explains the methods of ranking.
