Jackson's black Swarovski glove to be auctioned in China A rare black bejewelled glove worn by the King of Pop Michael Jackson is expected to fetch as much as $50, 000 (£33, 330) when it goes up for sale as part of a pop culture auction in China later this year (10). The iconic stage accessory, decorated in small black Swarovski stones, was worn by Jackson during his promotional tour for the album HIStory: Past, Present and Future. It will be auctioned off alongside a selection of other Jackson memorabilia, including stage costumes, original paintings and handwritten notes by the singer himself. Collectibles from the careers of fellow pop legends Madonna and Elvis Presley will also be going up for auction, as well as pieces from Marilyn Monroe, Bruce Lee and late British royal, Diana, Princess of Wales. A burgundy velvet dress worn by the Princess to a 1989 event at the French Embassy is another sale highlight - the ball gown, worn during a ceremony honouring the then-French ambassador, Viscount Luc de La Barre de Nanteuil, is expected to sell for between $80, 000 and $100, 000 (£53, 330 and £66, 670) when the items go under the hammer on 9 October (10) at the Ponte 16 casino resort in Macau. Film memorabilia from Hollywood blockbusters Batman, Ghostbusters, Babylon 5 and The Last Samurai are also among the lots on offer. The biggest attractions will be put on display in Tokyo, Japan and Santiago, Chile in the run up to the Macau auction. The sale, by California-based Julien's Auctions, will be the first such pop culture event to be held in China.
