Jeff Beck is famous for his stints in British rock groups the The Yardbirds, The Jeff Beck Group, Beck, Bogert & Appice and is regarded as one of the most influential guitarists in rock. He has been described as a “guitarists guitarist.” He has received six Grammy Awards and has received the British Academy’s Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music. An early musical influence was Cliff Gallup, guitarist with Gene Vincent’s Band The Blue Caps. Other influences were Les Paul, Ravi Shankar, Roy Buchanan, Django Reinhardt, Steve Cropper, Lonnie Mack, John McLaughlin, Beck completed a World tour in 2010. His preferred choice in guitars are Fender Stratocaster and Marshall amplifiers. He has been Inducted into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice. He is an enthusiast of classic Ford hot rods.
