'The Lancastrian' dining train on the East Lancashire railway (ELR) crossing the bridge over the River Irwell at Summerseat near Bury, Lancashire. Sunday lunch and Friday evening fine dining trains form an important part of the East Lancashire Railway's revenue raising activities. The dining section of the train consists of two first class dining carriages and two kitchen/utility carriages. The ELR is a preserved heritage railway line operated largely by voluntary workers, running steam and heritage diesel trains between Heywood and Rawtenstall in Lancashire. The railway HQ is at Bury.
