The SECURITY measures at the Olympic Stadium were unveiled yesterday (Sat) as it staged its biggest test event - 2012 hours before the Games begin on July 27.All 40, 000 fans who attended the official opening had to go through full airport-style security and some were also searched in marquees.Armed guards patrolled the site, which has been surrounded by an 11-mile electric fence, at a cost £80 million.A police helicopter hovered overhead and police boats went up and down the nearby River Thames."It felt like I was at a prisoner of war camp as the barbed wire fences were so high and the guards seemed to be watching me all the time, " said Tony Cooke, 43, from Northampton."It put me on edge and spoilt the atmosphere for me."
