GLA Annual Service of Remembrance with Mayor Boris Johnson who joins with representatives from key London government organisations to commemorate those who served and lost their lives in the two world wars and other conflicts. The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson and Chair of the London Assembly, Jennette Arnold was joined by London Assembly Members, Greater London Authority staff and representatives from key London government organisations to commemorate those who served and lost their lives in the two world wars and other conflicts. Those in attendance included Wing Commander Mike Dudgeon, on behalf of the Lord-Lieutenant, Major General Sir Edward Smyth-Osbourne CBE, on behalf of London District and Vice Admiral Peter Wilkinson CB CVO, National President of the Royal British Legion. Led by the Very Reverend Andrew Nunn, local government representatives including Transport for London Commissioner Mike Brown, Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner Helen King and London Fire Brigade Deputy Assistant Commissioner Dominic Ellis will lay wreaths to honour the staff from their organisations who died or suffered injuries in war. Lord Singh CBE, from the Network of Sikh Organisations, Rabbi Mark Solomon, Liberal Judaism Interfaith Consultant, Dr Shuja Shafi, Muslim Council of Britain and Dr Deesha Chadha, Hindu Forum of Britain will also attend to pay their respects on behalf of their respective faiths.
