The Festa do Avante (Avante Festival) is organized by the Portuguese Communist Party (Partido Comunista Português - PCP) in Quinta da Atalaia (Seixal Municipality, Portugal), and it’s the largest and most important Political-Cultural event that occur in Portugal every year. Known to be built by voluntaries, it’s a “city” built during months that will stand for three days (the first Friday+Weekend of September) for the hundreds of thousands of visitors. Besides the political activities, which include debates, exhibitions and the participation of Communist Parties from all over the world, it’s known for the variety of its cultural offer, with music raging from the World Music, to Rock, Jazz, Hip-Hop, free Theatre Plays and Art Exhibitions.
