Myungdong is situated in the old part of Seoul, the north of the River Han. This area is always known as a shopping district and a fashionable place to eat and drink. Even after the development of the new part of Seoul, on the back of economic boom, the south of the Han River, it has maintain the reputation as a shopping district.
