Altre informazioni:
It is said in Ramayana that Lord Ram, Goddess Sitaji, and brother Lakshman spent many years of their 14 years of detention in the forest of The Dangs. Lord Ram's only mission on earth was to kill and destroy the evil inhabitants and the bad King Ravana of Lanka. Matang Rishi at Lake Pampa, where his Ashram was in The Dangs, was the guru of Mother Shabri and Matang Rishi had told Shabri that one day Lord Ram will come to relieve her soul to go to the heavens. Lord Ram with his brother Lakshman did come to the abode of Shabri when she fed green berries to Ram after testing each berry to make sure that it was sweet and not sour. Ram accepted her as his "mother" and finally blessed and relieved her soul to go to His Kingdom. It is said that this Shabri Dham (abode of Shabri) is the actual place where the present temple is built. There is no other Shabri temple anywhere.
