Over 4, 000 soldiers of the 2nd Battalion, 23 rd Infantry Regiment, 4th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division gather for the presentation of a 2008 Jeep Liberty being given to Army Specialist Michael Gallagher. The vehicle was donated by Chrysler LLC through Operation Gratitude, which has given over 350, 000 care packages to US military personnel serving overseas. Gallagher, who served in Iraq, was given the keys to the Jeep Liberty in the 300, 000th such package operation Gratitude delivered. At Gallagher's request, the Jeep is decorated with a custom-painted mural honoring his fallen comrades. The mural reads: "In Memory of the Fallen Heroes of Alpha Company 2.23 Infantry. You Will Never Be Forgotten. R.I.P. Joseph Landry III, Donald Valentine III, Nicholas Olson, Luigi Marciante, Jr, Jason Lemke.
