Small sailing boat (Requin), during the event "Semaine du Golfe", Week of the Morbihan gulf, a maritime festival which takes place, the week end of Ascension every two years (Brittany, France). The Shark (Le Requin) is a sport of sailboat keel sloop rigged. It was designed by the Finnish naval architect Gunnar L. Stenback in 1930. Similar to Dragon, it has a hull and rig a very athletic and requires three crew racing. With his bow very slender, long and narrow lines, it passes through the chop without slowing down. Originally built of wood, the shark was also constructed of plastic in 1978. Since its introduction in France in 1934, 490 units were built. The largest fleet is concentrated in Noirmoutier.
