The Hopi are a federally recognized tribe of Native American people, who primarily live on the 2, 531.773 sq mi (6, 557.26 km2) Hopi Reservation in northeastern Arizona. As of 2010, there were 18, 327 Hopi people in the United States, according to the 2010 census. The Hopi language is one of the 30 of the Uto-Aztecan language family. The Hopi Reservation is entirely surrounded by the much larger Navajo Reservation.
