Puerto Banus opened in 1970 following its design and construction by founder Jose Banus. Located 6km from its neighbouring Marbella, 'Banus' is now infamous globally as a playground for the rich and famous. Everywhere you look in the town there are reminders of the wealth and decadence that it is so famous for. The port itself houses some 900 boats including a number of luxury super yachts belonging to some of the world's wealthiest people. Surrounding the harbour is a mix of designer label shops and a whole host of bars and restaurants offering a wide variety of culinary offerings. Many an hour can be spent watching the world go by in one of the bars or cafes while you take in the stunning views.
