With him areLeslie Chandler 8 and sister Christine 7, two of the people he saved. He spotted the fire at home in historic 17th century Lauderdale House in Highgate, London, early yesterday, when the children and their parents, park keeper John Chandler and wife Doreen were asleep. The dog awoke their father, who was able to lower the family to safety through a bedroom window, with the help of three policemen who arrived on the scene.
