Rooms and chalets have heating, air condition and bathroom facilities, whereas the tents have shared facilities. Jebel Shams, which translates to “Mountain of Sun” is an mountain located in north-eastern of Oman and has an altitude of approximately 3.000 meters (10.000 feet). Jebel Shams is not really a mountain as you’d expect, it’s a mindboggling crevasse of immense proportions, therefore the name “Oman’s Grand Canyon” or “The Grand Canyon of Arabia” is way more fitting.
