Colas Rail in partnership wins two contracts for the extension of the Algiers metro - released on 01.19.2016. As part of the extension of the Algiers metro, Colas Rail has won two contracts totaling 168 million euros (total share Colas Rail: € 86 million), in partnership with the company Algerian public works Kou.GC The first contract of 117 million euros (part Colas Rail: € 59 million), said "Extension C ", is to extend the existing subway line 3.6 kilometers to the south and includes three new stations. The second contract, worth 51 million euros (part Colas Rail: € 27 million), said "Extension A ", aims to extend the Algerian line 1.7 kilometers north of the capital Algerian and includes two new stations in the heart of the old city, especially in the iconic Place des Martyrs. Colas Rail will carry out the railway works, power supply, ventilation and smoke extraction, low currents and ticketing as well as the overall coordination and system integration. After a first Algerian contract won in 2012 and successfully, these two contracts consolidate the local partnership with Kou.G.C. Colas Rail and up as the benchmark company and preferably the developer EMA (Entreprise du Métro d'Alger) for projects of integral rail system.
