One of the beautiful fountains in Williamson Park, in the City of Lancaster, Lancashire, North-West England. The ornimental lake and water features have been refurbish, allowing visitors to enjoy the park's attractions as they were originally intended. A footpath follows the lake as it winds its way from the tranquil glade of the waterfall, past the fountain and under a stone bridge. The restored Temple Shelter, a viewpoint to stand and admire the imposing Ashton Memorial, a folly, commisioned by Lord Ashton as a tribute to his late wife, as which dominates the park and the skyline. The Edwardian Palm House, which now serves as a Tropical Butterfly House, where exotic species flutter amongst lush foliage in the warm, humid atmosphere of a tropical forest. The Lancaster Sundial, located on the original site of a 1907 bandstand is another fascinating feature of the park which stands in around fifty-four acres of land A new children's playground, positioned near the Ashton Memorial and Pavillion Cafe, has been installed. All of the equipment uses recycled materials and is of the highest standards, allowing children to enjoy the ameneties in a safe and pleasing environment..
