A general view of construction underway at Sir Ben Ainslie's America's Cup challenge base on The Camber in Old Portsmouth, Hampshire. Work at the syndicate's state of the art headquarters was halted this week due to the discovery of an unexploded World War Two bomb. The device was found under an existing concrete floor slab as investigation work got underway ahead of piling and foundations for the massive building. The area was cordoned off for two hours while the device was removed by a Royal Navy bomb disposal squad. The discovery of bombs is not unusual in Portsmouth given its naval history. Work on the base for Sir Ben Ainslie Racing began late last month and construction is expected to be completed by May 2015. Picture date Thursday 7th August, 2014. Picture by Christopher Ison.
