Pedestrianised area under construction at the junction of Victoria Bridge Street and Chapel Street in Manchester and Salford. The area depicted is on the Salford end of Victoria Bridge road. The pedestrianisation work is part of a larger redevelopment/regeneration aimed at improving the area around the old buildings of Manchester cathedral and Chetham's School of Music. It's not commonly recognised that parts of what is taken to be Manchester actually lies in the city of Salford and this area comes into that category.
