Gli artigli attaccati sul retro dell'altro nel Regno Unito le immagini DRAMMATICHE mostrano due gufi dalle orecchie corte che hanno una lotta territoriale a mezz'aria a Liverpool il prossimo gennaio
Claws latched to the back of the other one UK DRAMATIC images show two short-eared owls having a territorial fight mid-air in Liverpool on January 4. The owl at the rear flew in, latched its claws at the back of the other one and sent it tumbling out of the sky. This fight was to oust the other owl from the hunting ground. The short-eared owls migrate to England from Scandinavia and Russia and are mainly seen here in the winter. These battle images were taken by British photographer Graeme Cuerden at the Lunt Meadows Nature Reserve near Ormskirk, Liverpool. ?These birds often hunt wetland reserves where they look for their common food like the vole, a small mouse-like creature that lives in the long dead grass, ? he said. ?After heavy rainfall, the voles are driven from their habitat onto higher ground, bringing them into the vicinity of the owls, which leads to a territorial fight for best hunting spots between them. ?I managed to capture these images by using a hide that concealed my presence so as not to disturb their natural behaviour.?
