Mr. Han, owner of the Lamborghini Gallardo smashed to protest his dissatisfaction with Lamborghinis services, is interviewed in Qingdao city, east Chinas Shandong province, 15 March 2011. A Lamborghini owner in Qingdao on Tuesday (15 March 2011) hired a group of workers to smash his Lamborghini Gallardo sports car to protest over his dissatisfaction with Lamborghinis services. The engine of the car which was bought no more than six months ago failed to start on November 29, 2010. After the owner had contacted Lamborghinis Qingdao dealer, the car was carried to the designated maintenance shop by a trailer of a maintenance service provider entrusted by the dealer. The engine problem was not fixed, and the bumper and chassis were found damaged after the car was towed to the maintenance shop. As the owner pointed out the problem, the maintenance service provider shirked the responsibility and ignoring the owners consumer right. After that, the owner contacted Lamborghinis CEO Mr. Stephan Winkelmann, the brands China headquarters, its after-sales service manager for Asia-Pacific region, and the brands owner Volkswagen Group, but the problem was still not solved. The owner believes that there is no suitable means to protect his own consumer rights, so he felt that the best way to attract public attention would be to destroy the car.
