The Palazzo Carignano was built by Emanuele Filiberto of Savoia-Carignano, designed by Guarino Guarini who began its construction in 1679. It is one of the most evocative and imposing palaces of the Italian seventeenth century, with sinuous façade and simple brick cladding, precious and originally worked. The Palace houses in the rooms of the noble floor the National Museum of the Italian Risorgimento. Until 20 February 2022, the museum hosts the exhibition dedicated to the women of the Risorgimento: starting from the legendary figure of Anita Garibaldi, in the bicentenary of her birth, the exhibition "Anita and the others" offers a gallery of stories and faces that tell, for antithesis and analogies, the richness of the composite female universe that animated the Risorgimento.
