The Transcript building and Clock of Jewelers Building and Old South Meeting House, Washington Street, Boston. The Old South Meeting House is a historic Congregational church building located at the corner of Milk and Washington Streets in the Downtown Crossing area of Boston, Massachusetts, built in 1729. It gained fame as the organizing point for the Boston Tea Party on December 16, 1773. Five thousand or more colonists gathered at the Meeting House, the largest building in Boston at the time. The Boston Evening Transcript was a daily afternoon newspaper in Boston, Massachusetts, published from July 24, 1830, to April 30, 1941. Jewelers Building of Boston was built in 1922, the historic “Jewelers Building, ” has been the heart and soul of Boston’s jewelry industry.
