Altre informazioni:
Before becoming the head office of the National Order of Pharmacists, 4 avenue Ruysdaël was, at the end of the 19th century, the private mansion of Gaston Menier, chocolate manufacturer, worthy heir of his grandfather Jean Antoine Brutus, first a simple druggist, then a qualified pharmacist. Like the Boussardels, the Meniers “colonized” the surroundings of Parc Monceau and owned several private mansions there. The private mansion at 4 avenue Ruysdaël was built in 1869-1870 by the architect Pellechet for the stockbroker Louis Eugène Lecomte. Gaston Menier bought it in 1879. He ordered major work from the architect who made modifications to the mansion in order to adapt it to the lifestyle of its new owner. He had a small building in the courtyard demolished to build a Norman-Moorish style pavilion characteristic of the family taste and which today houses the History of Pharmacy collections.
