Altre informazioni:
Mohammad Elias Sunny is a handy left-handed batsman and left-arm spinner who started playing international cricket since 2011. He made his first-class debut in the 2003-2004 season for Dhaka Division against Chittagong Division. By the end of the 2006-2007 season he had already scored close to 1000 first-class runs, including a sensational 176 against Barisal Division and taken 97 wickets, which included a brilliant 5/46 against Khulna. Consistently good performances at the domestic level earned him his Test debut in October 2011 against West Indies. In the first innings, he took 6-94 (the second-best figures by a Bangladeshi on Test debut) and finished with match figures of 7-128. A couple of months later, he made his ODI debut against Pakistan and took just one wicket in that game. He made his T20I debut in July 2012 against Ireland and took 5/13 from his 4 overs, including a maiden to restrict the hosts to 119/8 and thus result in a solid 71-run win. He won the Man of the Match award for that game and registered the best figures on a T20I debut. However, injury concerns and inconsistent form has prevented him from becoming an integral part of the national side.
