Today there where 25 Motor Homes parked on the promenade between Heysham and Hestbank. The majority of which were laid up outside the empty Frontier Land site. There was no rubbish no waste, so what are locals complaining about. With the majority of the camper vans parked outside the empty Frontierland Site what is the problem they are coming into a run-down sea-side town staying overnight and bringing a welcome income stream into the town. Spending money in Aldi on the Sea Front, they visit the Saturday markets, and the cafes along the promenade. At the present time Eden Project Morecambe has yet to break ground and as such should be welcomed. But no local politicians have said they have had complaints. The City Council are looking as Eden Project Morecambe as the saviour and the County Council who are the transport authority have clear ideas of the projects that they think will bring the benefits to our economy business and residents, without any meaningful resident consultation being carried out. People being asked to complete online surveys which are so user unfriendly that even the most computer literate give up on for being too tricky from the outside they ask questions which align with the political agenda of the council. There is a need for carparking and public transport and other infrastructure projects to be instigated, to support the development of the proposed Eden Project North attraction and this needs to be carried out in such a way that it will minimise disruption to people of Morecambe and its environs. Unfortunately, improvements to public transport are being ignored in favour of local cycling and walking and traffic calming, measures which just displace the problems. People who live in Morecambe need to use private transport to access employment because the public transport system is lacking especially in. How many complaints has there actually been does, anybody in Morecambe really care or do those that do complain, really envy the Van lif
