Church of Santa Maria. The archpriest church of Santa María is a construction carried out between the XIII and XVI siglos, of Gothic architecture, which brings together the Puerta de los Apostoles and the Puerta de las Vírgenes in a single façade. Inside, in the rear part of the choir, you can see the Portico de la Gloria carved in the form of a frieze. The singular spiral staircase that goes up to the choir, the main altar, its three rosetones with original glass from the Valencian School of the XIV century, a frame of the head of Our Lady of Suffrage, by Sassoferrato (XVII century)11 and Francisco Turull's organ are some of his joys. On June 28, 1700, Pope Innocent XII issued a bull granting the archpriest church of Morella the privilege of incorporating itself into the basilica of San Juan de Letrán in Rome, with all the graces and blessings given by its predecessors to this basilica and its cabildo.
