Prima Ballerina Zhu Yan of the National Ballet of China attends a ceremony for her appointment as the image ambassador of Air France to China in Beijing, China, 1 December 2011. Miss Zhu Yan, a principal dancer of the international renowned National Ballet of China, has been appointed the brand ambassador of Air France to China, making the carrier the first major aviation company to be represented by a Chinese mentor. Zhu Yan is internationally recognized and has strong ties with France and Paris, where she received her first award in international ballet. Zhu started ballet at the age of 9. In 1995 she joined the National Ballet of China. She has notably been the guest of honor at some of the greatest operas in the world, such as the Paris National Opera, the Royal Opera House in London (Covent Garden) and the Royal Opera House in Stockholm.
