The existing crossing of the Lake Shore & Michigan Southernand Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific with the Western Indiana tracksis also eliminated, and the occupation by railroad terminals is re-stricted to the territory west of Clark Street. In this arrangement the existing freight house locations westof Clark Street and north of Twelfth Street are maintained, andthe possibililties of future locations in this territory are shown.South of Twelfth Street the territory is occupied by team tracks, thecontrolling principle in this layout being that the houses would onlybe used for inbound freight and that all outbound freight would beloaded directly into cars from team tracks and rehandled at an outerL.
