Coal-laden cargo from India, Indonesia and Africa is loaded at these ports. About seven thousand workers work to unload this coal on the banks of the river. Most of them came from outside Dhaka. They unload coal in small baskets day and night. There are no special shoes on their feet and no gloves in their hands to unload coal from cargo ships.
