This pipe puffing soldier shown in Vietnam on Sept. 3, 1968, is a mercenary Montagnard soldier from the remote and vast jungle hills of the Vietnamese highlands. He fights with the U.S. Special Forces in an elite strike force and is trained in all tricks of modern guerrilla warfare.
