China National Petroleum Corp. intends to quadruple the capacity of its Rudong LNG terminal in Jiangsu province to 26 mtpa, Interfax quoted Novatek Chief Executive Leonid Mikhelson as saying. "We are located at a terminal that today has [annual] capacity for 6.5 mt and the partners have let us know that they want to expand acceptance to 26 mt, " Mikhelson said at a ceremony to mark the arrival of LNG carriers that travelled from Novatek's Yamal LNG plant. It was reported that a total of 20.8 million tonnes of LNG from 22 countries and regions was delivered to PetroChina's Rudong terminal in Jiangsu province since the terminal was put into use in May 2011.
