Built around the turn of the century (start of the 20th), to contribute toward New York City's water supply, it's said to be the third largest hand hewn structure in the world (China's Great Wall and The Great Pyramid of Giza occupy the two top spots).Living in England, and working in construction and riding moptorcycles year round, I'm no stranger to cold weather. But shooting this pano in January 2014, the temperature was so cold that by the time I'd removed my gloves and changed a lens, I could not feel the shutter button I literally had to look to locate my finger in the right spot! The white on the trees isn't frost it's ice from the spray from the spillway.
